Symposium Innovating healthcare: an implementation science perspective

This symposium on the topic of Implementation Science scheduled for the 19th of January 2017. Various key issues in implementing evidence-based interventions in routine practice will be discussed including two key notes from professor Carl May and professor Marcia Ory.
Carl May is professor of Healthcare Innovation at the University of Southampton and author of the of the Normalisation Process Theory. Marcia Ory is associate dean and professor Health Promotion at the School of Public health at Texas A&M Health Science Center and co-developer of the RE-AIM framework. Professor Heleen Riper will chair the day and various workshops and active sessions on implementation science related topics will be organised. The symposium will be held at the VUmc.
